Nepenthes alata [Pitcher Plant]

A distinctive carnivorous plant with brightly coloured pitchers which secrete a nectar that attracts insects. They are trapped inside and digested. A real-talking point with your guests.

Prefers warmth and bright indirect light - tolerates some direct light. Keep the soil moist at all times and mist spray the foliage. Never add water to the pitchers as they may shrivel up.
