Kalanchoe are popular succulents which are native to arid areas. There are around 125 species and they belong to the Crassulaceae family.  The most striking feature of this variety are the bright scarlet bell-shaped flowers, appearing in Spring.  

Prefers bright light and warm temperatures. The plant is drought tolerant and over-watering can cause rot. During summer water thoroughly when the soil has dried out and repeat. Feed regularly in spring and summer and not at all in winter.
