add a pot to fit this plant

Hoya kerrii Single Leaf, often known as the Sweetheart Plant or Lucky Heart Plant, is a charming succulent houseplant grown for its distinctive heart-shaped leaf. Beautifully simple and easy to care for, it makes a thoughtful gift or a unique addition to any indoor plant collection.

Each plant is individually potted as a single, thick, glossy leaf. While some plants may eventually produce new growth, many remain as a single decorative leaf for years, making them a long-lasting and low-maintenance houseplant.

Why you'll love it

  • Iconic heart-shaped leaf with thick, glossy succulent foliage.
  • Easy to care for and ideal for beginners.
  • Perfect gift for birthdays, anniversaries, Valentine's Day or simply to brighten someone's day.
  • Compact size ideal for desks, shelves and windowsills.

Care

Place in bright, indirect light, although it will tolerate a little gentle morning or evening sun. Water thoroughly only when the compost has dried out completely, reducing watering during winter. Feed with a balanced houseplant fertiliser once in spring and again in summer.

Care Instructions

Light

Place in bright, indirect light. A little gentle morning or evening sun can encourage flowering, but avoid prolonged harsh midday sun, which may scorch the leaves.

Water

Water thoroughly, then allow the top few centimetres of compost to dry before watering again. This plant stores moisture in its fleshy leaves and prefers to dry slightly between waterings. Reduce watering during winter.

Food

Feed once a month during spring and summer with a quality liquid houseplant fertiliser. Regular feeding encourages healthy growth, strong roots and more reliable flowering.

Humidity

This plant is happy in average household humidity but appreciates slightly higher humidity where possible. Good air circulation is equally important for healthy growth. Avoid excessive misting.
