Niwaki Camellia Oil is the traditional Japanese choice for protecting blades from rust and corrosion. Pressed from the seeds of Camellia oleifera (a close relative of the tea and camellia plant), it leaves a deep, non-oily finish that helps keep your tools sharp, smooth and in excellent condition.
Use it after cleaning your tools to prevent rust, or as a light protective coating during regular maintenance. It’s odourless and tasteless, making it ideal for kitchen knives too — though it’s not for human consumption.
Best paired with: Niwaki Clean Mate for removing sap and resin, and the Niwaki #1000 Sharpening Stone for maintaining a sharp edge.
