Anthurium clarinervium — also known as the Velvet Cardboard Anthurium — is a rare and highly sought-after houseplant with thick, velvety, heart-shaped leaves and striking white veins. Native to the tropical forests of southern Mexico, it adds bold, architectural foliage to any plant collection.
Unlike the flowering Anthurium varieties, Clarinervium is admired for its dramatic leaves and luxurious texture. Its compact growth habit makes it ideal for shelves or side tables where the patterned foliage can be appreciated up close.
Care Guide:
Provide bright, indirect light and maintain moderate to high humidity. Water when the top few centimetres of soil feel dry, avoiding waterlogging. Feed every 4–6 weeks in spring and summer with a diluted liquid fertiliser.

Care Instructions
Light
Prefers indirect bright light and will tolerate direct sunlight in the morning or evening. Too much direct sunlight can result in scorched leaves.
Water
Water thoroughly, then allow the top half of the compost to dry before rewatering. Over-watering will cause root rot.
Food
Feed every second time you water through spring and summer with a quality liquid plant food. There is no need to feed this plant in winter.
Humidity
This plant enjoys humidity. Place in a bathroom and/or mist regularly with water. Remove dust from the leaves with a damp cloth to improve photosynthesis.
