Also known as the 'Venus Fly Trap' this plant is native to the subtropical wetlands of Carolina USA this captivating carnivorous plant uses its ‘trigger hairs’ on the inner surface to detect its prey.
Prefers the brightest light you can give it. Keep soil moist at all times. Resist poking the traps! They go in to dormancy over winter – move to an unheated room or place outside (as long as they don‘t freeze).
Always water carnivorous plants with rain or distilled water.
